Queen City Dog Training Club's
Dock Dogs

Linda Christman and Eris

This is Eris' first and only jump till the Bass Pro Shops competition. Jumping in a pond and in a pool is quite difficult for some dogs. Obviously Eris was not affected because in her first competition Eris earned her Junior Jumper Title (5 jumps were required)

Cat Weil and Bravo

Bravo (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) 22 months of age never competed until the Bass Pro Shop's November competition.

His personal best 20' 8", gave him a 2nd place in the Masters Level
and earned him a 10th place in the finals against the
top dogs in the country.

Dogs are encouraged to sit and wait 40' back on a dock, handler is at dock/water's edge;
handler releases dog to start running and handler tosses a toy or bumper into the pool (25' x 40') for dog to focus on while jumping far into water. The dog is measured for entry to water where tail and body meet with a calibrated video system for accuracy. It's all about the dog's ability and nothing else.

It's a competition with everyone helping everyone for the dog's sake.
